The Dior space at Bergdorf Goodman in New York was designed and curated by Dimorestudio. Custom-made fixtures, displays and furnishings were created to highlight the uniqueness and exceptional quality of the accessories showcased. Astrological inspired motifs seen on a stunning carpet reference the zodiac and tarot symbols present in Maria Grazia Chiuri’s recent collections. The three ottomans paired with the golden and silver bespoke table in the center are made of cannage, one of the Maison’s emblematic codes, as an homage to its heritage.
With a rich gradient of blue hues from muted to dark, interacting with brass, steel and glass elements and a neutral colored lacquered shell, the shop channels the architecture and design firm’s characteristic surface treatment. Lamps by iconic 20th century designers, such as a 1960s round brass chandelier by Hans-Agne Jakobsson, reinforce the refined character of the space, in a smooth juxtaposition of a historical aura and a contemporary allure. Made-to-measure counters and wall niche displays with integrated lights are upholstered in satin fabrics from Dimoremilano’s Progetto Tessuti textile collection.
