Progetto Tessuti – DIMOREMILANO’s continuously growing offering of interior textiles – is another milestone for Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran’s creativity and their love of the unexpected, through a nostalgia-infused symphony of refined contemporary patterns.
Kaleidoscopic motifs meet elegant retro designs, with nods to Art Déco aesthetics, and rich tridimensional effects, through a compelling collection.
Meticulous research, tied to visual opulence and coherent iconographic references, naturally encouraged the duo to tap into their own resources to create a textile range, as a further acquired heritage of their work during the last decade.
The creations feature original designs in a harmonious marriage with unusual, experimental materials, such as thick fabrics with jute and caoutchouc threads. Jacquard and printed styles are wisely balanced, with a strong graphic presence, using intriguing compositions to achieve an outstanding tactile refinement and a chromatic identity which are loyal to DIMOREMILANO’s impeccable signature.
Grandeur scale patterns demonstrate where the technical process has been deliberately exasperated. The final outcome is a cloth with a rich drape and a hefty luxuriousness for remarkable curtains and exceptional decorative upholstery combinations.
The use of heirloom yarns of different thicknesses, together with embossing, aging and laminated processing techniques, embroidery and finishing treatments, is an essential part of the experiment to obtain different textures, the contrast between iridescent and mat and the sophisticated subtle shading of color nuances, resulting in fabrics to touch, to admire, to desire.
